One easy way to improve front desk collections

Sometimes a patient will check out and want to pay cash for their appointment – however, all the patient has are big bills to pay with. If a patient is willing to pay at the desk, don’t lose that money because you lack change. Keep a small fund of say $100 in denominations of ones, fives, tens, and twenties in order to to accomodate your patients. Maintain a simple system to reconcile and replenish the fund at the end of each day. This sounds too simple but you would be amazed how many front desk collections opportunites are missed because of this little day to day issue.
