Growing Healthcare Concern

From the September 2005 issue of the Practical Accountant magazine:

According to two recent retirement studies by Prudential Financial, Inc., 7 in 10 Americans feel rapidly rising healthcare costs are hurting their prospects for a comfortable retirement. 2 in 10 anticpate they might need nursing home care in the first 10 years of retirement, and for the second phase of retirement, that number jumps to more than 4 in 10.
