The information is being re-issued to reflect the revised information in CR 5253. The CMS IOM is in the process of being updated. The Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (DRA) requires limitations on outpatient therapy services for the purpose of identifying and eliminating improper payment. Certain services are limited to specific numbers of units per day for Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), separately to control inappropriate billing.
