When printing an aging of accounts receivable, credit balances are included unless the computer is told not to include them. When was the last time you printed an aging of accounts receivable for "only" the credit balance accounts. At least quarterly you should print an aging of the credit balances; if only to see how much you have in credit balances and to see how much these credit balances are suppressing your overall accounts receivable figure.
