2008 Withholding IRS Tables

The IRS issued Notice 1036 , which provides early release copies of the tables to appear in Publication 15 (Circular E), “Employer’s Tax Guide (For use in 2008).” Notice 1036 can be accessed at www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/n1036.pdf , and includes the following tables for wages paid in 2008: (1) income tax withholding tables—percentage and wage bracket methods, and (2) advance earned income credit payment tables—percentage and wage bracket methods. Publication 15 will be mailed to employers and will be available at IRS offices and on www.irs.gov in December.
