Medicare recently released its utilization statistics for Part B services that it paid in 2006. You can use these figures to compare your coding patterns to other physicians in your medical specialty; in particular you can compare your E/M coding patterns to your peers. Use this anaysis to look for lost revenue opportunities but also use it as part of your compliance review activities.
