Breaking bad habits at work

Sometimes bad habits are fairly innocuous. However in the workplace, they can ruin a career and disrupt internal business. The January issue of the Journal of Accountancy (www.journalofaccountancy.com) listed 8 work habits that an employee needs to break as soon as possible. After reading them, they certainly apply to any person working in a physician office.

 

§  Confusing casual with disrespectful

§  Always doing the bare minimum

§  Not budging from your job description

§  Forgetting what your job is

§  Ignoring the chain of command

§  Operating on your own clock

§  Badmouthing your colleagues

§  Flaunting your connections
