Key Updates to the 2006 Physician Fee Schedule: Last-Minute Changes and New G-Codes

From www.decisionhealth.com: You've got last-minute changes to the 2006 physician fee schedule to take note of -- thanks to CMS -- There are 129 changes, with most of the last minute changes relating to new G-codes tied to Medicare’s oncology demonstration project. The codes technically don’t fall on the fee schedule but do offer a flat payment rate of $23.

Some of the other changes make technical corrections – such as being sure some office RVUs match facility RVUs, establish RVUs for some codes that are non-covered by Medicare and announce new code G0332 (Preadmin IV immunoglobulin). And CMS deletes some codes as well.
