If you haven't made the switch to the new CMS-1500 form (08/05), start using it now to get accustomed to the new format and avoid payment delays: Your carrier will reject all claims submitted on CMS-1500 (12/90) received after Friday, June 29th.
Note: Unlike rejections based on the date of service, this rejection will be based solely on when the claim gets to your carrier. Unless you hand deliver your claims to your carrier, unwrap the new forms now and start using them.
